Our Babymoon

We decided to take this four day weekend and make it our "Babymoon Weekend". Yes, our last vacation together as just Paul and I. We just got back from Estes Park. It was absolutely beautiful there! We went on a fun drive through country roads with beautiful mountains and rock outcroppings. Our destination was to hike a little, but considering I was having major shortness of breath issues, we didn't think the beauty to risk ratio was worth it. Instead we enjoyed reading on our deck, the food that the YMCA served us and just being together. We laughed because it had kind of an amish theme. We went to the neatest store that sold amish quilts and talked with the ladies there for a while and then went to a free movie at the YMCA that evening and it was a story about the amish. It has been such a great babymoon!

Happy Birthday Paul!

Today is Paul's (Brown) birthday! Last night Holly and Paul's friends had a game night birthday party. We had a blast. Our new favorite game is "Apples to Apples". It's a great group game that is hilarious! Have a great day, Paul!

Yutzy Vacation in the Mountains

What an amazing vacation in the mountains! Mom and dad are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year and my family decided to celebrate in the mountains. We started out the week with professional pictures.

The next day we rode the Georgetown Railroad. The kids could not stop talking about the train they got to ride! I thought the ride was beautiful as well.

We are realizing there are many fun kiddo activities in the area as well and we took full advantage of the playgrounds, horse stables, recreation center, etc.

Of course the ladies had to get a pedicure...that was sooo nice....especially considering I can barely tie my shoes these days. We went shopping at Target, too, and the wise women helped me with what I need and don't need for our little one.

The next day my bros and dad took off in 4 wheelers and had a blast! Their stories sounded like so much fun, yet extremely adventurous!

Meanwhile Paul had to go to a military conference for 2 days and got back a little late to join them. He decided to bike straight up the hill instead! We are learning more and more about the trails around Summit County and yet they seem to be endless!

Other fun memories include laughing and talking after the kids went to bed, mom making wonderful meals, celebrating their anniversary with a scrapbook and poem, the kids zooming down the front door trail on their wheeled toys and just enjoying extended time with one another. I love my family so much and just love being with them. I am so proud the legacy of my parents sharing 40 years together of love, hard work, fun and always loving Jesus through everything.

Yutzy Reunion

Every 3 years we have an extended family reunion at Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp. So after a week at Keystone we headed down to Divide to spend 4 more wonderful days in the mountains! I love talking with my cousins and catching up with everyone. I did manage to do 2 pretty simple hikes up to Monkey Rock and in the Crags, which was a highlight. Other highlights include the auction, talent show and hymn sing. I loved waking up every morning to the beautiful pine trees, the creek that flowed outside our baucony and surrounded by shade and mountains. Most of all, it was so fun sharing this time with family.

It's official...Mr. and Mrs. Rios!

What a beautiful wedding...a 19th century bed and breakfast, outside, with a view of pikes peak. It was an amazing day and a very meaningful wedding with many tears:)

Congragulations, my friends!

I fit into the dress:)

I just wanted to include a few more pics with me in Ramona's bridesmaid dress. It was such an honor to be in her and Pete's wedding, but trying to find a dress that would fit my LARGE size was a fun story. It all turned out so well, but I had to include some pics of it!
