Vacation at Julia's

I have been visiting Julia's for a couple of days and am having a blast. Today we went to a card class and made sparkly little cards. Hopefully friends and family will feel very special when we send these handmade cards. One of my little perks of this weekend is babysitting Julia and Bryan's new pup in the morning when Julia is at summer school. Oh my, does Bela get into trouble. Today I heard a crunch and ran out to see what she had and it was Julia's prescription glasses that she had destroyed. We take Bela for walks to let some puppy energy out as well as enjoy the fun downtown area of Lawrence. It's been great...tomorrow I get to fly to St. Louis to see my dear cousin Joni.

We Have Completed our Paperwork!!! Yippee!

We are on the waiting list for a little boy from India! We are so excited to be done with our paperwork. God is so good, He provided miracles to get to this point so quickly and we know His hand is all over this adoption. The latest "God thing" was with the FBI report getting back 3 weeks earlier than it was supposed to. When I would call about the report I would happen to speak to the same guy each time...crazy! Please pray for the child that God has in mind for us and His perfect timing with this all. Please pray for our little guy, because he probably is born already and is in the orphanage in Calcutta...please pray for protection and He would sense His Father's love for him while he is "fatherless". Thanks for walking this out with us.

I found this video link for our China adoption and loved it. Just thought you might enjoy it as well. Usually parents place their child for adoption in Calcutta, India because of poverty. In China, it is because of the one child rule, plus, a boy will take care of his parens later on while a girl will live with her husband's family. My heart breaks for these parents who feel pressured to place their children into orphanages. http://www.dailymotion.com/ludo/video/16379

Tammy's Tap Dance Recital

My neighbor and I have loved taking tap dancing lessons this past year. This weekend we had our finale recital at the Cleo Robinson Dance Theatre. What a hilarious time:) Our husbands came out to watch and it was fun dancing away to Razzle Dazzle from Chicago.

The 6th Annual Picnic in the Pasture

Every Memorial Day weekend my Yutzy family gets together for a weekend of togetherness at the farm where my dad was raised and now my aunt and uncle live. It is such a hoot with pizza roasting, a scavanger hunt, hayrack rides, horses and four wheelers. It's a time where kids can run free and all of us cousins/aunts and uncles get to hang out. We got to meet our newest nephew, Landon, this weekend...what a cutie. We love hanging out with our nieces and nephews, parents and brothers and sisters:)

Our First Camping Trip of the Season

We spontaneously camped this weekend at Cherry Creek State Park in South Denver. It was so refreshing to be outdoors on the beach and in nature (despite the fact that we are a few miles from the Denver Tech Center). Ramona and Pete came out for dinner and we grilled on the beach and roasted s'mores. On Saturday Paul and I rode our bikes around the lake...it was beautiful!

There's Two on the Way!

As many of you know, we have been waiting for a little one from China. Due to numerous issues in China, our wait time has increased tremendously. As we prayed about what we were to do "in the meantime" we thought about additional fertility measures, but felt lead to adoption and knew that's where our heart is. So...we are very excited to say that we are in the process of adopting a little boy from India! He will be from an orphanage in Calcutta. With international adoption, we never know how long it will take, but the "timeline" projected is traveling to India sometime the beginning of next year. Please pray as we walk out this process. Our prayer is that paperwork would go smoothly and quickly. We want as much time in between the India and China adoption as possible. Thank you all for walking out this process with us. Please pray for our children...God is the father to the fatherless and he sets the lonely in a homeland (Ps. 68). Please pray that God will be their comforter and protector during this time when we would love to have them home with us. Great video of HOPE

My Sweet Children

As a girl I had a common dream, to be a mom someday. My baby would have eyes of blue and hair the hue of hay.
But now my dreams have been transformed. New visions fill my head. Now the tresses that I long to stroke are raven black instead.

And in my dreams those eyes are not so big or blue or round. Now in my dreams they’re almond shaped and colored cocoa brown.
And in my dreams my arms can stretch across enormous seas. They reach half-way around the world and hold you close to me.

As you grow in your mother’s womb, carefully knit together, you’re also growing in my heart, where you will stay forever.
And in my dreams the moment that your mother says good-bye, I’ll be right there to comfort you and hold you as you cry.

Our features may not look alike; we’re different as can be. But still I know the Father has created you for me. And though I’ve not yet seen your face, or held your tiny hands, and though we’re half a world apart in very different lands. I’ll be right there to get you just as soon as God allows. But ‘til He says the time is right I give to you this vow. I’ll pray for your protection every night on bended knee. For God will hold you in His arms, until you’re here with me.

Glen Eyrie Weekend

We were honored to be a part of a Navigators weekend at the Glen Eyrie. Much to our surprise we got to stay in the same room where my parents and I slept the night before Paul and I got married as well as where Paul got ready for the wedding. The whole weekend was very meaningful. We learned more about what the Navigators do as well as went on an amazing hike/jog on Glen Eyrie trails. It truly is an amazing place.
