Pictures of our Baby Girl!

I took pictures of the ultrasound pics so they look kind of weird, but the first of her face and the other is her feet. The tech couldn't get a clear picture of her feet because she was "dancing" constantly. We have fallen so in love with her now:)

It's a Girl!

Well, Little Baby Houge is a Girl! We were so surprised yet very excited. For some reason blogspot will not allow me to put the scanned cute pictures of her, but as soon as I figure it out, I will post it. (Sorry Leann) She is so active! I have felt her move almost nonstop since week 17. She really likes to kick me in the morning to get out of bed and eat! This morning she kicked me 6 times in the same place...she is one hungry girl. During the ultrasound she was doing somersaults and moving all over. The u/s tech kept commenting on what a little exerciser she was...like her dad. She is pretty big as well. In fact she is measuring in the 70-90th percentile on everything. Labor is not looking so great for me:) The doctor said she looked fabulous and we are soooo thankful for that. What a miracle!

Jen's Baby Shower/High Tea

My neighbor who has become my dear friend, is having a baby boy in August. We had to celebrate that in the form of a tea party...so we got out the hat and gloves and scones and cucumber sandwiches. We had so much fun being girlie, that I think we would forget that Jen was having a boy!

Saturday...Girlie Day

Saturday was a fun-filled day! The brunch bunch came over for breakfast. It was so good to catch up! We then headed over to Jessica's shower. I even won the "put the diaper on while blindfolded" game, so I feel comfortable now with those nightly diaper changes that are coming up in October. We hope to meet Jessica's lil' boy soon!

Paul's Promotion

Paul is officially a Colonel! Thursday was a very special day. His brother, Eric, from Arizona flew in and his good friend from med school, Mitch, was in town as well. Friends from church took off of work and with Paul's clinic he officially got his "wings". (Actually Eric and I got the honors of pinning them on). We had a reception afterwards with lots 'o salad, a forty pound flag cake and sandwiches. Everything went so well and are so proud of our Colonel PJ!

Baby Kicked!

This morning I was lying in bed with my hand on my stomach trying to get motivated to get out of bed, when I felt a little kick. I wasn't prepared and thought what was that? Then a little later I felt it again! That was such a fun surprise! I still cannot comprehend what a little miracle this is!

Paul's Vacation in Florida

Paul had a conference in Orlando this last week (yeah, the military knows where to have great conferences) and his parents joined him for a fun week. They enjoyed wonderful food, driving around to cute surrounding towns and even Epcot Center. Paul loved "visiting France" the best because of the beautiful flowers everywhere. What great memories they got to share together!
