Whew, What a Fun Weekend!

We had such a fun and spontaneous weekend! Paul took Friday off and we headed to the Springs to meet Ramona and Pete to stay at a cabin near Woodland Park. After a wonderful Thai lunch with them, Paul and I headed up there to realize that oops, the cabin doesn't have cell phone coverage and Paul is on medical call. So we met Ramona and Pete in Manitou Springs and had a blast checking out the place they are getting married at---it is gorgeous! (http://www.rockledgeinn.com/about.html) Then we ate at a cute restaurant downtown Manitou. We spontaneously had a slumber party at Ramona's(and soon to be Pete's) new townhome. They made us breakfast and we went to the pool in their neighborhood. It was such a relaxing time spent with wonderful friends!

Then we met up with Brian and Erica Saturday evening, but Erica is in her first trimester and is not feeling too great (hmmm...I can have some empathy!) so Brian and us went out for dinner. As we were driving home, Paul said, "let's see if there is any room at the Air Force Academy Lodge" So, they had one room left and we stayed another night in the Springs. We went to New Life Church and out to lunch with our friends, Christina and Sloan. Then stopped by to say "HI" to Rafael and headed home quick because in an hour we had 10 of our neighbors coming over for a progressive dinner. Paul and I cleaned and made dinner in the most hurried manner we have ever done. We had a great time with our neighbors last night, too! I was so proud of everything that I was able to do this weekend, that I decided to not take my anti-nausea meds last night. Whoopsy! I still need those, it was a rough night. I am so glad I have the day off of work today, because I am exhausted!
