I Need Help!

In the hospital, the nurses said Elli has a strong sucking reflex and she probably sucked her thumb in the womb. So I have been trying my hardest to get her to take a pacifier, but no luck. She thinks it's a fun game. She has been sucking her wrist, her sleeves and fist...and today I walked in on this---she is sucking her thumb!! What do I do? Any suggestions out there?!

I have LOVED following Eliana's progress through pictures and update. She a beautiful girl!!
A thought on thumb-sucking . . .someone told us we shouldn't let our kids suck their thumbs. So we diligently worked with Stephen, our first born, no matter what we did, he still sucked his thumb. Now at 26 he still chews and sucks on things like the tops of pens. Go figure! Hugs to you three, PAM

Let her suck her thumb! =] Tyler wouldn't take a plug to save his life, and now Liam won't let go of his. He CONSTANTLY had his hands in his mouth for the first three months, then figured out the plug. Just keep offering and and play the game! =] She's a doll-baby!

Griffin was the same way. No pacifier for him... the thumb was best! He only sucks it when he's tired or falling asleep. He'll outgrow it eventually :)
