Our Sweet Boy is Growing Up!

Today we received an update about Vikram! I am teary-eyed as I write this because he is saying "mama" (along with other words)...if he only knew how much his mama wants to hold him now, and how much she loves him! The orphanage said he is doing "very well" and already weighs a whopping 19 lbs (at 9 months)! Thank you Jesus! He is "crawling all over the place" and walking holding onto the rails of his crib. How we want to get on a plane right now and not miss out on any more of these milestones!!

I believe the Lord will make up for those missed moments in other special ways. Thinking of you as you wait patiently for him.

I am praising God with you that he's doing so well. Thanks for sharing his picture and the update. Can't wait to hear when you get to fly there to get him! I know you can't wait to give him some lovin'! Love you guys so much and know that we're praying.

I'm right there with you Tammy! The updates are so lovely to receive, and hard too because we don't want to miss out on these milestones. I have been told, by many a Dillon mom, that when we hold our babies in our arms, missing these moments will melt away. Until then, lean on me, and we'll keep each other going!!

Hi Tammy! I am so happy you left a comment on my blog so I can follow your journey to India for your son. Vikram is so adorable, sweet, and quite a mellow boy. I remember him so clearly from when we where there in May. He was in the same room as our little girl. So happy to know he will be going home to his forever family soon. WOW, 19 pounds already, my little princess just turned 17 months and is only 16 pounds! This adoption roller coaster can take you for quite a ride, but know that you will have your baby boy in your arms when all is said and done. The long wait times will melt away when you meet your baby face to face. Hang in there! If you ever want to chat feel free to email me at pfeiffer4@verizon.net.

Hang in there!

April :-) (Alesha's mommy- home 2 months)
